Chelsea defender Davide Zappacosta has revealed that there are Serie A clubs interested in his signature.
The player joined Chelsea from Torino last season but failed to make the right-back position his own during Conte’s regime.
Zappacosta is used as a backup to Victor Moses in a 3-4-3 formation throughout last season.
Though there is a new manager with new formation, the Italian has failed to get regular action since the start of the campaign
Despite the fact that Victor Moses is not enjoying regular action under Maurizio Sarri, Zappacosta is neither given a chance to prove his qualities.
In an interview with Corriere Dello Sport, the 26-year-old defender revealed that he’s gotten offers from top Serie A clubs, including Inter Milan, but he is not considering leaving the Stamford Bridge this summer.
“Could I go back to Italy? Yes, Inter had tried me,” he told Corriere dello Sport.
With some days to the end of the ongoing transfer market, Zappacosta might rescind his decision by making a loan move to the clubs, whom he claimed have shown their desire to work with him for the rest of the 2018-19 season.
Zappacosta managed 35 caps under his belt last campaign but most of them came from Carabao and Fa Cup competitions as he was unable to displace his Nigerian teammate from Conte’s starting lineup.
He scored two goals and also provided two assists in his first season at Stamford Bridge.
