According to Sky Sports, the former Arsenal striker has been shortlisted by Girondin Bordeaux as one of the candidates vying for their coaching job.

The British media claimed that Gus Poyet will be sacked this Friday after an unwanted run of results since the start of the season.

However, Henry will need to compete with another Arsenal legend Remi Garde for the job. The former Arsenal midfielder has also been shortlisted for the job as he is hoping to beat the Frenchman to the job.

Former Chelsea star Laurent Blanc is another candidate vying for the job. Blanc is one of the best players for the Blues during his stay at Stamford Bridge but he is set to continue his managerial career with the French club.
