Henry ‘holds talks’ over Bordeaux Job

Arsenal Legend Thierry Henry is set to take his managerial mission to another level as he is reportedly in talks with Bordeaux hierarchy over the possibility of taking over their coaching job.

The Frenchman was part of Belgium’s backroom staffs, who led the country to a third-place finish during the World Cup in Russia, and he is hoping to take over the Bordeaux’s managerial position.

He helped Roberto Martinez with many information on the feeling that accompanied playing in the world’s greatest soccer tournament and he also helped bolster the Belgian players’ confidence with his words of experience.

According to Sky Sports, the former Arsenal striker has been shortlisted by Girondin Bordeaux as one of the candidates vying for their coaching job.

The British media claimed that Gus Poyet will be sacked this Friday after an unwanted run of results since the start of the season.

However, Henry will need to compete with another Arsenal legend Remi Garde for the job. The former Arsenal midfielder has also been shortlisted for the job as he is hoping to beat the Frenchman to the job.

Former Chelsea star Laurent Blanc is another candidate vying for the job. Blanc is one of the best players for the Blues during his stay at Stamford Bridge but he is set to continue his managerial career with the French club.
