United Not Thinking Of Sacking José Mourinho – Report
Manchester United manager José Mourinho has been tipped as the first manager to be sacked by any Premier League club this season as he is facing lots of off-the-pitch issues.tbn
The Portuguese manager has failed to win the Premier League trophy since he replaced Luis Van Gaal in 2016-17 and he could be shown the exit door, that’s according to reports making headlines.
However, a source close to the Red Devils Vice-chairman Ed Woodward revealed that the club are not thinking of replacing the Portuguese manager with former Real manager Zinedine Zidane.
The source claimed that Mourinho remains United manager and he would be given the opportunity to end his contract with the team.
It should be recalled that Mourinho extended his contract earlier in the year when he penned a one-year contract which will see him remain at Old Trafford till 2020.
Former Real Madrid manager Zidane, who is currently without a job, is reportedly going to be Mourinho’s replacement once the Portuguese is shown the exit door.
It was reported last week that Zidane is looking at the prospect of taking over from the former Porto manager once the Red Devils decide to terminate his contract.
According to the source, there is no need to discuss Zinedine Zidane as there is no vacant position for him.
“Why would we discuss Zidane when there is no job available?” the anonymous source asked rhetorically.
