No Arsenal Player Could Enter Chelsea’s Team Says Jamie Redknapp
Former Liverpool player Jamie Redknapp has made a very great and unimaginable comment on Arsenal’s present squad following their display in Saturday’s 3-2 defeat to the Blues at Stamford Bridge.
The Gunners couldn’t hold on to a draw as they failed to stopped Marcos Alonso from getting the match winner in the 80th minute.
Though the Gunners managed to score two goals against the Blues, the Liverpool legend believes none of Arsenal players could break into Sarri’s starting lineup base on their individual display on Saturday.
According to him, new signing Sokratis Papastathopoulos was impressive but he couldn’t form a strong partnership with Shkodran Mustafi at the heart of the defense.
“Looking at the Arsenal team, not one of their players would get in Maurizio Sarri’s
best XI. At the heart of defence, Shkodran Mustafi and Sokratis don’t look a partnership,” he said.
He also compares Chelsea’s defender Caesar Azpilicueta to Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin, he said the Blues star was solid at the back and impressive while joining the attack.
Unlike his compatriot, Hector Bellerin didn’t offer much to the team throughout the encounter as he couldn’t prevent the Morata and Pedro from scoring.
With the defeat to Chelsea, Arsenal have lost their first two matches of the season for the first time in 26 years.
