Arsenal are set to compete with other clubs for the services of young and promising player Erling Haaland, who plays for Swedish club Molde.
Erling, 18, is in the club’s first-team despite his age and he has been in blistering form for the team.
Though summer transfer window has closed in England, The Daily Star are claiming that the Gunners manager is keen on signing Haaland in the coming transfer period in January.
Meanwhile, the North London club will need to slug-it-out with Red Bull Salzburg who are also in the race for his signature.
Haaland has scored 11 goals for Molde’s first-team last season and that has brought him to limelight.
Should the Norwegian sign for the Gunners next transfer window, he might not be integrated into Emery’s squad immediately but he can be guaranteed of getting first-team opportunities in League Cup and FA Cup competitions.
Having featured in eight matches for his Norway’s U-19 team, Haaland has found the back of the net in 10 occasions. He might be promoted to the country’s main squad in the next international break in September.
In other Arsenal news, David Ospina is set to be unveiled by Napoli today.
The Colombian goaltender is reportedly with the Serie A giants having his medical ahead of his loan move.
Ospina was pushed down the pecking order when the Gunners brought Bernd from Bayer Leverkusen last month.
