Arsenal manager Unai Emery has once again reiterated his desire to work with Aaron Ramsey this season amid numerous rumours linking him to Stamford Bridge.
Though the Blues can no longer capture him this summer as the window is closed, many clubs from Spanish La Liga could still snatch him from North London before the end of this month.
However, Unai Emery has told media that he isn’t keen on selling the Welshman this summer and he would love to work with him for the whole of the new season.
Ramsey, 30, is in the final year of his contract and Unai is hoping his employers renew the player’s contract before the end of the month.
While speaking to newsmen ahead of his clash against Manchester City on Sunday, the Spaniard said that Ramsey is an integral part of his team and it is important he remains at the Emirates Stadium beyond this season.
According to the manager, Ramsey is an experienced player who is needed in the team to give information on how the League operates to new players.
In his final word concerning the player’s contract saga, Emery revealed that the club and Ramsey’s agent are in talks over a new deal and they might reach an agreement before the month comes to an end.
Emery and his men faced a huge test on Sunday when they face Premier League’s defending Champions Manchester City, who defeated Chelsea 2-0 last week, in their Premier League opener.
