Liverpool youngster Pedro Chirivella might be one of the players who would be making a deadline day move to another club as reports suggest that Scottish League Champions Celtic are looking to capture his service today.
The report emanating from well-known football website Goal revealed that Celtic manager Brendan Rogers is set to raid his former club for the services of the 21-year-old Spanish midfielder before the close of the transfer period in England.
Chirivella earlier refused to move to Norwegian League as he prefers to reunite with Rogers, who was once his coach during the manager’s spell at Anfield Stadium.
Despite his impressive style of play, the youngster didn’t possess enough characters and qualities to break into Klopp’s first-team squad throughout last campaign.
Chirivella was loaned out to Netherlands teams — Go Ahead Eagles and Willem II in previous seasons so as to enhance his development in the game.
After two years of regular actions in the Dutch League, the youngster believes it is high time he moves elsewhere for a new experience and adventure.
A move to Celtic looks pretty good but he needs to ensure consistent performance so as to stand a chance of getting regular game-time ahead of other established midfielders such as Scott Brown, Tom Rogic, Nir Bitton, Scott Allan, Olivier Ntcham, Eboue Kouassi and Ryan Christie.
