40 Million pounds star reveal concrete interest from Premiership clubs
Bayern Leverkusen star Leon Bailey has reignited transfer speculation by admitting there has been serious interest for his signature from clubs.
The Jamaican-born player has become one of the World’s hottest prospects and his impressive displays for the German outfit has seen him linked with a departure from the Bundesliga.
The 20- year-old notched up 12 goals and laid off 8 assists in 34 appearances and that inevitably gone unnoticed with top European clubs now reportedly coveting the prodigy.
Liverpool and Chelsea have been mentioned as potential suitors for the forward and when quizzed about the possibility of moving to either of the pairs.
The youngster asserted that there has indeed been interest for his services from both Premiership clubs but refused to disclose If any of the clubs have weighed up bids for his services.
When quizzed on the admiration from the Premier League duo, Bailey stated to Germany football magazine, The Kicker : “There’s concrete interest.”
“What I can say is that my full focus is on developing myself as a young player, and that’s what I’ll focus on. If a club wants me, my management and Bayer 04 will take care of that.
Liverpool are also said to be interested in Dortmund’s Christian Pulisic and Barcelona newest recruit Malcom along with Bailey.
However, it remains unlikely the club would look to sign either of the aforementioned trios and might only look to complete to a move for Nabil Fekir with reports emerging over a possible last minute deal for the French playmaker.
The big message Oxlade-Chamberlain sent to fans
Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has now returned back to training after months of sideline owing to an injury he suffered in last season’s Champions League semi-final game against AS Roma.
The English midfielder was highly missed as he became a transformed figure immediately he left the North London outfit Arsenal to become an important member of the manager Jurgen Klopp’s team. The injury was known to have ended his World Cup dream knowing that he was destined for Russia with his great form.
It was earlier feared that the former Arsenal star will not be available for the season but he has had a shock and quick comeback and was a part of the Liverpool first team that prepared for the big clash against German Bundesliga outfit Bayern Munich in the round of 16 at the Anfield.
Although, he is yet to begin kicking the ball but he was seen having a warm-up session with the entire team as he took to social media to post a picture of himself and Mohamed Salah with the caption “Getting back in sync”
However, it is not certain of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will still play a game for Liverpool this season but there are positives report he is recovering ahead of time.
Klopp blames English culture for his biggest regret
English Premier League outfit Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has heaped praise on Jadon Sancho who is currently enjoying his career with his former side Borussia Dortmund.
The Reds boss expressed delight in seeing the young lad progress outside England which English players are obviously not known for.
He, therefore, expressed regret that Jadon Sancho should have been playing at the Anfield today because he had indicated interest in him and was ready to strike the deal but he was haunted by the culture amongst English clubs which does not allow them to sell players to rivals.
It is worthy to note that Jadon Sancho only left the English Premier League outfit Man City in last summer window and has made such a big impact which ensured he was invited to the national team by Gareth Southgate last year.
Recall that Liverpool had spent big the same window as they went ahead to secure the signature of Mohamed Salah, Andrew Robertson, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Dominic Solanke.
Unknown to Man City, Jadon Sancho was a star in the making and that is already manifesting as he has so far scored 8 goals and providing 10 assists in 28 games for his Borussia Dortmund team.
Klopp calms nerves with this big announcement
The game between Liverpool and Bayern Munich has been highly anticipated and talked about but that should not be the case for the Red’s boss Jurgen Klopp who thinks he has no rivalry with his former opponents.
The game has been hyped because of the rivalry between the German boss and the Bundesliga giants when he was in charge at Borussia Dortmund. It is recalled also that Jurgen Klopp has moved on from his Champions League loss between both sides in 2013.
Manager Jurgen Klopp made it clear that the rivalry he had with Bayern Munich has long died since he left the Bundesliga outfit to the Merseyside club.
Speaking ahead of the game, Jurgen Klopp made it clear that there is no bit of personal issues with Bayern Munich, citing the fact that some of his players were made to leave Borussia Dortmund to Bayern Munich which he did not like and that was the only reason he had to fume against the giants.
However, Liverpool under Klopp came close to winning the Champions League last season as they got to the finals but they were defeated by the Spanish La Liga outfit Real Madrid.
What does Roman Abramovich’s silence mean?
It is still a surprise to many and former Chelsea striker Chris Sutton that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is yet to take a stand or make a statement on the fate of his club against what he is known for.
The West London outfit under manager Maurizio Sarri suffered their third humiliating defeat in five games which is known to be unacceptable to the club owner as speculations grow that the Italian boss could be called out of the Stamford Bridge.
Going by previous reactions of the Billionaire owner, it is expected that Maurizio Sarri would be sacked by now because he is known to be impatient to failure especially when all needed has been provided.
The Chelsea legend who expressed surprise at Abramovich’s silence stated that keeping Maurizio Sarri at the club will not be the best for the club because it is clear he has nothing to offer at the Stamford Bridge.
He noted that the Blues have now been ridiculed and will not have the opportunity of playing in the Champions League because they are fifth in the league table with the hope of breaking into the top four looking bleak.
However, the Blues are now left with the Carabao Cup to fight for against Man City but their chances are very slim.
Why Chelsea fans might be wasting their time on Sarri
English Premier League outfit Chelsea fans are most affected by the situations surrounding their team at the moment and they have begun reeling out their reaction on manager Maurizio Sarri, especially after their 2-0 defeat at the Stamford Bridge against Man United in the FA Cup on Monday night.
The fans were seen to have had chants against the Italian boss with others taking to the social media to blast him for his style of football which is not working but there might not be any need for that with the former Napoli boss making it clear that he does not care about all they say.
This is the third defeat suffered by the West London outfit in their last five games across all competitions and it is unacceptable to the fans who think they deserve better.
Maurizio Sarri has made it clear that he is only worried about the result and how to get his club back to winning ways not what the fans say as admits pressure to deliver.
However, there are fears over Maurizio Sarri’s future as it is unclear what would happen next with the Blues owner Roman Abramovic yet to take any stand on the matter.
Sarri makes major confession after defeat to Chelsea
Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has confessed he might not be having the support of his layers anymore after he was defeated 2-0 by Man United in the FA Cup on Monday night.
The defeat makes it the third defeat in their last five games and Maurizio Sarri can no longer boast of having the support of his players.
It would be recalled that the Italian boss had blasted the players, claiming that they were difficult to motivate in addition to slamming them for claims that they know nothing about his Sarr-Ball after the two defeats against Arsenal and Bournemouth reactively.
Suggestions are that the players could fight back and hurt the manager but he held peace talks with them and hoped he could get them back on tract but obviously, that has not happened.
However, the former Napoli boss said he does not really bother about the relationship between him and the players but he is only concerned about them playing better and getting a good result in games.
Maurizio Sarri, therefore, called on his team to improve so that the target this season can be met with the FA Cup already out of the way for the West Londoners.
Mind game? Lewandowski makes special claim
Jurgen Klopp’s claim ahead of the clash
Ahead of the much anticipated game between the English Premier League outfit Liverpool and German Bundesliga outfit Bayer Munich, striker Robert Lewandowski has made a special claim of the Reds boss Jurgen Klopp.
Robert Lewandowski has a better knowledge of the German boss than any other Bayern Munich player because they both worked together during their days at Borussia Dortmund the star striker scored a total of 103 goals in 187 appearances across all competitions.
He has therefore hailed the Reds boss as they both parted ways when he moved on to Bayern Munich but he will not forget how Jurgen Klopp made a huge impact in his career which is the reason why he heaps praises on him.
Robert Lewandowski made it clear that he has every reason to thank Jurgen Klopp because of how impactful their past was which the reason is why he is where he is today.
The striker added that he was not any good as he is until he had contact with the Reds boss.
However, suggestions are that the Merseyside club boss will prepare his players ahead of the game because he is also aware of the threat Robert Lewandowski poses to his defence.
The only way Liverpool can defeat Bayern Munich revealed
English Premier League outfit Liverpool face a major test against German Bundesliga outfit Bayern Munich in the 16th round of the Champions League and it has been a talk about the qualities of the two sides.
both teams are known to have an attacking style that comes with pace but the Bundesliga outfit are known to have ageing players which has been seen as the disadvantage they have got, knowing that their pace will definitely end at a point.
Pundits have analysed that the Reds have one of the quickest attacks with Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane an Roberto Firmino each of which can overrun Bayern Munich firsts choice central defenders Niklas Sule and Mats Hummels who are all known not to have the ability to run.
However, the Reds have been told that they must run more especially from the midfield before they can be able to beat an experienced team with less pace like the Bundesliga outfit.
Although, it is expected that Virgil Van Dijk will have a lot of job to do because of the presence of Robert Lewandowski who might be difficult to contain. He has got space and has got the ability to score goals.
Chelsea claim has been rubbished by club chief for Luka Jovic
The report that West London outfits Chelsea will be moving in for Bundesliga outfit Frankfurt star Luka Jovic has been dismissed with claims that the speculation is far from the truth.
It was claimed that the West London outfit have made an approach and are readying a £45 million bid so as to land the player in the coming summer transfer window.
However, Frankfurt director Fredi Bobic says there is no report as such, adding that they have not received any approach from any club for Luka Jovic and he continues to remain their player.
Luka Jovic is currently on loan at Benfica but it has now been made clear that he is needed at the German Bundesliga at the end of the season as they are not ready to part ways with him at the moment.
The club director stated that he was not scared when he saw the reports of approach for Luka Jovic but he was surprised because it was never true. He noted that all reports of approaches from Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea and Juventus are all untrue.
However, the West London outfit are desperate to land new strikers as they are currently finding it difficult to win games.

Napoli manager Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that Arsenal loanee David Ospina will sign for the club permanently at the end of the season.
As quoted by Italian media portal Tuttosport, Carlo Ancelotti said that Colombian international shot stopper Ospina will sign for Napoli in the summer regardless of the number of games played for the Italian Serie A club this season.
Italian tactician Ancelotti was speaking after his Napoli suffered a big blow to their title hopes with a goalless draw at home to Torino on Sunday evening.
