Arsenal young versatile winger Alex Iwobi has finally put an end to the rumours surrounding his future as he has officially signed a long-term contract with the club.
The youngster was a graduate of the Hale end academy, he broke into the first team in 2015-16 under Arsene Wenger, who had so much trust in his abilities.
Though the player hasn’t really impressed the club’s faithfuls, he is a player with great potentials to become one of the best wingers in the game.
His future at the Emirates Stadium was up in the air throughout last month as reports suggested that he could be loaned out to either West Ham United or Watford, who are both interested in his services.
Another rumour also claimed that the 22-year-old is not in Emery’s plan for next season, that the manager is looking to sell him outrightly to Serie A giants Lazio, who are more than willing to get him before the close of the ongoing transfer market.
However, According to the Independent, the 22-year-old has signed a new contract which is believed to be a long-term deal.
The media broke the news this afternoon when they reported that the Nigerian — who was sparingly used by the African country at the world cup — has signed a five-year deal with the club.
With his signature already confirmed, the player will be expected to play huge role in the team during next season, though, he must work on his finishing if he must get a spot in Emery’s first eleven.
