Chelsea defender Matt Miazga is set for another loan move this summer as reports claimed the USA international is due to have his medical Tomorrow.
According to the latest reports via NBC Sports Soccer, the 23-year-old defender will undergo a medical test in France ahead of his proposed move to Ligue 1 club Caen this summer.
According to the American media outlet via their Twitter account, Miazga would be officially announced as Caen player on Tuesday should everything work out as planned.
The young defender has featured in seven matches for USA national team but he hasn’t been given much time on the pitch since he joined the Blues from New York Red Bulls in 2016.
Though he wasn’t given the chance to represent the Blues more than twice, Miazga was a regular starter in Eredivisie club Vitesse throughout last season.
Having two loan spells with the Dutch side, the defender played 72 matches, finding the back of the net in five occasions.
A move to Caen is the perfect option for the player as he won’t be given any chance of getting game-time by Maurizio Sarri in the coming season as there are huge competitions for spot in the Manager’s starting lineup.
However, in other Chelsea transfer news, the Blues have officially tabled new bid for Juventus ‘ defender Daniele Rugani.
The Italian defender remains Sarri’s prime target this summer and the manager is doing all he could to make the player sign with his side in coming days.
