Done Deal; Unai Emery Have Finally Allowed Star Player To Leave Emirates

Arsenal have allowed their third-choice goaltender Matt Macey to join Plymouth on a loan deal ahead of the upcoming season.

The 23-year-old goalkeeper was Arsenal’s third-choice goalie during last season but he would be pushed down the pecking order in the coming season since the Gunners have added Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno to their squad this summer.

Having seen that there will be a very limited chance for him to man the post for the club’s senior squad in the coming season, Macey told the Gunners hierarchy to sanction his move to the Home Park outfits.

With this report, Arsenal manager Unai Emery have sanctioned two youngsters’ move away from the Emirate Stadium in today alone.

The manager has earlier sold Chuba Akpom to PAOK for just €1m because the young England international isn’t in his plans for next season.

Macey was in action for the Gunners during Europa League and Carabao Cup fixtures last season.

Though his move to Plymouth didn’t look like a good one, he will surely get quality time on the pitch.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola and his former employers at Bayern have been involved in a war of words over winger Leroy Sane.

Bayern Munich have been constantly linked with Manchester City winger Sane for the majority of this summer and their pursuit has led to some sort of tension between Guardiola and the Bayern Munich president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

Sane was previously linked to Arsenal at the earlier part of this summer’s transfer window.

On the pursuit of Sane, Pep Guardiola warned Bayern Munich to stay off his player during his press conference at the Premier League Asia Trophy at the weekend.

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge while responding to the Manchester City manager in an interview monitored by The Sun took a swipe at the Spanish tactician.

The Bayern Munich supremo implied that Pep Guardiola is not aware of a lot of things at Manchester City.

Leroy Sane is attracting serious interest from the German champions who are looking for wing replacements for veterans Frank Ribery and Arjen Robben.

Ribery and Robben left the Bavarian giants at the end of last season shortly after they helped the team to a seventh successive league title.

Both players were on target in their final game for Bayern Munich.

Only the top four Premier League places guarantee Champions League football.

Arsenal missed out via a fifth-place finish at the end of the season.

The Gunners could have also qualified for Champions League football via the Europa League.

Arsenal were beaten 4-1 by London rivals Chelsea in the final of the competition.

Zaha has talked up his dream move to Arsenal having pointed out in one of his earlier interviews that he supported the North Londoners as a boy.
