Watford Target Loan Move For Liverpool Striker

Liverpool outcast Divock Origi is wanted by Watford this summer as a replacement for Richarlison, who completed a £40m move to Everton last week.

Origi was sent on a loan deal to Wolfsburg last season but he didn’t perform up to expected standard and he is presently with Liverpool squad for pre-season.

The Belgian international has seen his career dwindled down the lane since he joined the Reds and he is hoping to rejuvenate himself in the coming season.

However, despite his uninspiring form in recent seasons, the Hornets are reportedly eyeing a loan move for the player in coming days.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is reportedly set to permanently partway with the £26m-rated striker this month but Watford are not ready to sign him on a permanent deal as they aren’t confident he can perform brilliantly in the coming season.

The player’s future at Anfield remains in the air as there are top strikers who are in deadly form.

As long as Mane, Firmino and Mohamed Salah are fit and available, it would be very difficult seeing other strikers taking their place in Klopp’s starting lineup in the upcoming season.

A move to Watford seems to be the best option for the Belgian star, who really needs to spend quality time on the pitch should he want to return to his best.

In other Watford transfer news, Chelsea star Michy Batshuayi is being tracked by the Hornets but Valencia are reportedly leading the race for the Belgian.
