Mourinho set to miss out on Alex Sandro.
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is set to miss out on Juventus left-back Alex Sandro as reports claims that Juve’s hierarchy are no longer interested in letting the player go this summer.
We reported here last night that Mourinho is on the verge of completing a move for the Brazilian star but there is a twist to the player’s proposed move to the Theater of Dreams according to the Daily Telegraph.
The media outlet is claiming that Juve have rescinded their decision to sanction Sandro’s switch to the Old Trafford outfits this summer as they want him to be part of the team in the coming season.
Apart from Juventus reluctance to letting go of the player, the Telegraph suggest that Manchester United board members have ordered Mourinho to pull out of the deal so as to channel their money on getting a new midfielder and probably a striker.
Having bought Diogo Dalot to add to the huge number of defenders in the team, United hierarchy are not interested in signing any defender this summer window.
However, Tottenham, who are interested in Sandro’s services, might move swiftly to capture the player’s signature before the Red Devils change their decision over his future.
United are presently in Singapore, where they will battle Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich ahead of the coming season.
