Tottenham Join Arsenal In Race To Capture Zaha.
Tottenham have joined Arsenal in the race to sign Crystal Palace striker Wilfred Zaha this summer.
The Wembley stadium outfits are yet to sign any player so far this summer but they are making sure their players are extending their contracts with the club.
They first convinced Mauricio Pochettino to sign a five-year contract before they made Harry Kane signed a new contract amid interest from Real Madrid.
According to Sky Sports News last night, they have equally succeeded in their mission to make Heung Min Son extend his contract as the Asian player penned a new deal last night.
Just like Son, Eric Lamela also extends his stay with the club beyond this summer by accepting a four-year contract offered to him by the club’s hierarchy.
Having achieved all of these, the North London club are now set to add to their squad ahead of next season.
According to the Daily Mirror, the club have joined their North London rivals Arsenal in the race to capture the Ivorian striker this summer so as to relieve Harry Kane of the goalscoring burden he carries for the club.
The £60million-rated striker was in awesome form for the Eagles during the last term and that has captured Pochettino’s attention.
The Gunners were believed to be leading the race for the 25-year-old’s services during Wenger’s last month as Arsenal manager, but there are no longer rumours linking him with a switch to the Emirates Stadium since Emery took charge in May.
