Man Utd Battle Bayern Munich For Ante Rebic.
Manchester United and Bayern Munich are set to rival for Croatian international Ante Rebic this summer, following his impressive showings for the European country at the recently concluded world cup in Russia.
It was reported via the Sun last week that the Bundesliga giants have shown their desire to capture the winger as their new manager hopes to lay claim for next season’s Champions League glory.
We reported this on Wednesday that Mourinho is impressed with the player’s attitude on and off the pitch throughout the world cup and he wants to work with him in the coming season.
While confirming the Portuguese’s interest in Rebic’s signature, transfer expert Alfredo Pedulla reveals that Mourinho is set to make move for the player but Eintracht Frankfurt are asking too much from his suitors.
Pedulla further reveals that Bayern Munich are leading the race for his signature after meeting with his agent Fali Ramadani earlier in the week.
The German side are not ready to let him go for any fee less than £36m this summer. The German side are also looking at the prospect of tying him to the club beyond this summer as they are willing to offer him an improved contract.
Rebic featured in all the matches played by Croatia in during the tournament, helping the team to a second-place finish after losing to France in the final match of the competition.
