Arsenal To Fund £80m Move For Douglas Costa.

Arsenal are advised to make move for Juventus star Douglas Costa even if it cost them losing seven players this summer.

According to Goal, Arsenal manager Unai Emery, who has been busy in the current transfer window, is looking at the prospect of luring the Brazilian star to the Emirates stadium as part of his desire to provide a quality and title-winning squad.

Though the player recently signed a new contract with the Turin-base club, the Gunners might stand a chance of convincing him to join them ahead of the coming season.

The Scudetto Champions signed Cristiano Ronaldo last week and that would have a very negative effect on the winger’s playing time in the coming season.

However, the Serie A side have placed a £80m price tag on the player and Emery is not financially buoyant to meet such demand and he might need to sell some players including Nacho Monreal, Shkodran Mustafi, Danny Welbeck, Petr Cech, David Ospina, Carl Jenkinson and Lucas Perez.

Costa was part of the Brazilian squad who reached the quarter-final round of the 2018 World Cup in Russia, though, he wasn’t an integral part of the team led by Tite.

According to Robie Lyle, a football expert, Douglas would be a perfect signing at the Emirates Stadium next season as his pace and tricks would be needed by the team to create good and numerous goalscoring opportunities.
