Roman Abramovich In Italy To Complete Move For Top Striker

Chelsea are said to be in discussions with Juventus over the possibility of luring Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain to the West London club this summer.

The Argentina international is set to be heading out of Turin due to the acquisition of Cristiano Ronaldo last week.

It should be recalled that Higuain was Ronaldo’s teammate during their time at Santiago Bernabeu but the former Napoli star didn’t want to re-unite with the Portuguese star next season.

The Blues are set to replace Alvaro Morata this season after the Spaniard’s uninspiring displays during the previous season. The former Real Madrid star looked too ‘lazy’ to withstand the physical-demanding nature of the Premier League.

However, report via the Sun revealed that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is presently in Italy to finalize a deal with the Serie A Champions for Higuain before the end of the week.

Higuain is valued at €60m by the Serie A side but the Blues hierarchy is hoping to beat down the price to the nearest minimum.
