Willian To Stay, Giroud To Leave — Sarri Reveals Transfer Plans.

Since taking over from Antonio Conte, Maurizio Sarri has sprung into action by confirming the signing of his former player at Empoli Jorginho at Manchester City’s expense.

The Italian manager is also aiming to get some more players before the end of the current transfer market.

However, just as he desires to see new faces at the Cobham training ground, Sarri is hoping to keep the services of some of the integral part of the team during Conte’s regime.

Willian is one player whose pace and tricky movements at both flanks would be needed by Sarri if he must achieve greatness with the Blues next season.

Having known the level of damage the pacey winger could cause to any defence in the upcoming season, Sarri is set to have a heart-to-heart discussion with the Brazilian so as to convince him to remain under his tutelage for more seasons.

Willian, 30, is Mourinho’s prime target but the former Napoli boss has reportedly moved swiftly to prevent the proposed deal from materializing.

Meanwhile, the Blues manager is considering selling Olivier Giroud this summer so as to create space for Gonzalo Higuain, according to the Mirror

Higuain played under the Italian manager during his days at Napoli before he joined Juventus.

Sarri once told reporters that he is looking at the prospect of reuniting with the player, whom he considered as a ‘son’
