Arsenal are one of the busiest teams at the current transfer market.

They have spent £70m on five players and they are still hoping to get one or two players before the close of the transaction period in August.

Leverkusen goalie Bernd Leno, right-back Stephan Lichtsteiner and centre-back Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Lorient’s youngster Matteo Guendouzi and Lucas Torreira have all been signed by the Gunners so far this summer but Sky Sports Pundit Laura Woods believes the club are not ready to compete for any trophy next season.

According to her, the Gunners have spent just £70m on five players while this season’s Premier League Champions Manchester City spent £60m on a single player – Ryad Mahrez, who joined the Citizens from Leicester City last week.

Laura claimed that unless the Emirate Stadium outfits begin to spend much on more established players, they won’t return to being one of the top-four clubs in the League.

However, she praised the Unai Emery for the instant impact he has had in the club but she told reporters ‘It’ll take a season or two to get back in the mix( being in the top four Premier League clubs)’

Liverpool have signed only two players (Fabinho and Keita) ; Manchester City have also captured a player(Mahrez) , Tottenham are yet to confirm any signing so far while Manchester United have signed two players ( Fred and Diogo Dalot).
