Real Madrid star Gareth Bale has broken his silence over his future. The former Tottenham player is being linked with a move to Old Trafford where he is expected to reunite with José Mourinho before the start of the upcoming season.
Another part of the transfer rumor mongers claimed that the player might return to Tottenham as Mauricio Pochettino is hoping to work with him.
However, the Welshman has finally revealed his plans for the future yesterday.
According to the Welshman, it remains unknown where he would be before the 2018-19 season. He told reporters that he will talk with his agent over the offers he’s receiving for his signature.
The 28-year-old was Madrid’s hero in last season’s Champions League final against Liverpool in Kiev as he came from the bench to score two goals to helped the Los Blancos side to a third consecutive Champions League glory.
Despite his heroic display for the Spanish giants, Bale wasn’t given much game-time by former manager Zinedine Zidane, who preferred Marco Asensio ahead of the player.
Lopetegui was hired by Florentino Perez last month following Zidane’s shocking resignation, it is yet to be confirmed if Bale will be regularly used by the new manager.
The player is still enjoying his vacation with his family but he’s expected to link up with the Galacticos team later in the week as they begin their pre-season tour.
“I really don’t know [where I will be], I’m going to have to sit down and discuss it with my agent. Maybe I’ll be staying here [at Real Madrid], maybe not. We’ll sit down in the summer and hopefully resolve this issue.” he revealed to Newsman.
