If report emanating from Italian club Napoli is anything to believe, Chelsea fans will have new manager tomorrow as reports claimed that Antonio Conte has been sacked in the early hours of today.
According to Napoli president Laurentiis Aurelio, the Blues have sacked Antonio Conte due to his poor run of results throughout last season coupled with his relationship with his players.
Aurelio , who shares intimate relationship with Chelsea owner Roman Abrahimovic, revealed that Maurizio Sarri would be unveiled as Chelsea boss in coming days.
To be fair with the Italian manager, he hasn’t done too badly as Chelsea manager since he takes over from Mourinho in 2016.
He led the team from the seventh position to became League Champions in the space of 38 matches in his first season at Stamford Bridge.
During his second spell at the club — last season, he helped the team clinched FA Cup trophy at the expense of Manchester United. Two trophies in two seasons isn’t a little feat to achieve despite all odds.
However, Conte’s relationship with his employers seems to be the main reason behind the club’s decision to sack him despite his good run of results.
The former Juventus manager is known for throwing a jibe at the Blues hierarchy throughout the previous campaign.
Should Sarri finally make his long-awaited switch to Stamford Bridge, he is expected lure Gonzalo Higuain, Daniele Rugani and probably Paulo Dybala to the Stamford Bridge Stadium.
