According to media reports, French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain are allegedly prepared to offer France international midfielder N’Golo Kante a massive wage hike to lure the midfield maestro away from the West London club this summer transfer window.
PSG offer bumper package
Goal is reporting that the Ligue 1 side will offer the former Leicester City midfielder a massive £220,000-weekly contract, which is £100,000- weekly more than what the player currently earns at Chelsea.
The French Ligue 1 champions have been strongly linked with a swoop for the double Premier league champions, but the Blues are desperate to keep the midfielder who has been greatly impressing at the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Possibility of a swap deal
There had been some claims that they could add Adrien Rabiot to the transfer deal, but the Blues’ interest in that exchange deal remains unclear.
Sporting director of the club Antero Henrique is thought to be a big admirer of Kante and is keen to see the player in France next campaign.
Ngolo Kante himself has previously played down a move back to his Native land France, but we’ll wait and see if the Blues’ lack of UEFA Champions League football next season could force the Stamford Bridge outfit into offloading him this summer transfer window.
