Juventus and Chelsea are set for a crunch talk over Daniele Rugani’s future. The Blues are tipped to hire the ex-Napoli manager later today as they have reportedly told Antonio Conte to leave Stamford Bridge.
As soon as the Italian manager takes over from his compatriot at West London, he is believed to make the Juventus defender his main target.
Daniele Rugani has been a long time target for Sarri. During his time at Napoli, he tried signing him up but the Old lady hierarchy refused to sanction his move to the San Paolo Stadium due to the rivalry between both clubs.
According to Italian media outlet Tuttosport, the player’s agent has been told by Juventus board members that his client could be released to join Chelsea this summer as they are ready to cash-in on his signature.
In the same report, the Old Lady are willing to engage in a swap deal with the Blues as they are eyeing a possible move for Alvaro Morata.
The report claimed that the club is hoping he could lure the Spaniard to the Turin outfits as part of his move to provide threatening attacking frontline in the upcoming season.
Should Abramovich agrees to Juventus offer, the Blues will have to let go of the former Real Madrid and Juventus striker while they will receive Rugani and probably Gonzalo Higuain in return.
Rugani is valued at €40m by the Serie A club but the Blues are willing to beat the price down to the lowest minimum.
