Liverpool legend Xabi Alonso, who played 210 matches for the Reds have spoken extensively on want the Reds faithful should expect from the club’s new signing Naby Keita in the upcoming season.
The Reds finally completed their £52.5m move for the RB Leipzig midfielder this week and he has been tipped to be a major and good signing for the club in the 2018-19 season.
While advising Liverpool fans on what to expect from the Guinean international, the former Real Madrid and Bayern Munich midfielder said Keita would bring more stability to the team’s performance at the middle of the pitch.
Xabi further suggests that Klopp must know how to get the best from the player by deploying him in a position that suits his playing style.
He told the German manager that Keita would do well as an attacking midfielder or as holding midfielder, as the case may be.
As for the player, Xabi advised him to get ready for a difficult season which will require much physical strength and endurance due to Premier League’s nature.
Having said that, the legend believes the former RB Leipzig player all it takes to perform brilliantly with the Reds in the upcoming season.
Keita would be officially unveiled by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp on Monday and he will wear no 8 jersey which was vacated by Steve Gerrard in 2015.
