Why Liverpool Must Ignore Marco Asensio’s Signature For £13m-rated Striker

Liverpool are likely to land Marco Asensio this summer if reports circulating the media are anything to go by.

Reports suggest that the Reds have already made an eye-catching offer worth £150m to Real Madrid for the player’s signature.

The offer is so huge that can’t be turned down by Florentino Perez, who will redirect his profit from the deal to fund other players move to Santiago Bernabeu as he plans to reinforce his team ahead of the 2018-19 season.

Marcos Asensio had shown his frustration with his lack of regular action for the Los Blancos throughout last campaign and he threatened to leave the club if he wouldn’t be used regularly by Lopetegui, who replaced Zinedine Zidane as the next manager.

A move to Anfield might be a bad one for the player and also for the Reds as he won’t be guaranteed much game-time due to huge competition for a place at the final third of the pitch.

With Sadio Mane, Mo Salah and Bobby Firmino are in great form, it will be difficult for the 22-year-old Spaniard to break into Jurgen Klopp’s starting lineup and that would turn out to be a waste of finances.

Shaqiri, on the other hand, is a great and experienced player who could be willing to be a bit-part player for the Reds in the upcoming season.

With Stoke City’s relegation to the Championship, the Britannia stadium outfits are willing to cash-in on his signature by offering him to the Reds for just a little sum of money which is believed to be at the range of £13.5m
