Chelsea are in a great battle to keep N’golo Kante ahead of next season. The former Leicester City midfielder is one of the best central midfielders in the world and that has endeared him to many European clubs, who are keeping close tabs on his performance at the ongoing Mundial.
The Frenchman was inspirational during Leicester’s amazing run to Premier League glory in the 2015-16 season, his powerful tackles and doggedness at the centre of the pitch was one of the factors that helped the Foxes achieved the ‘unthinkable’
He joined Chelsea in 2016-17 season and also helped Antonio Conte to his first trophy in the English League. Just as he was with Leicester City at the King Power Stadium, Kante made sure opponents rarely get past him with the ball.
Though he wasn’t that impressive in the last season due to Chelsea’s poor collective displays, he is being tracked by Paris St-German new manager Thomas Tuchel, who is ready to spend big on his signature.
Thomas Tuchel replaced Unai Emery, who joined Arsenal last month, and he is keen on upgrading his team ahead of next season.
In his unveiling ceremony, Tuchel was given a task to win next season’s Champions League glory by the Ligue 1 club and he has identified some quality players he believes would help him achieve the task.
According to the Mirror, PSG are willing to table £90m for the Frenchman’s services before the end of the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Russia.
