Manchester United target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has told reporters that he would make decisions as regards to his future after the summer World Cup.
The Serbian international is being tracked by Real Madrid and Manchester United, but according to numerous reports, the Red Devils leading the race to capture the versatile midfielder’s signature.
Though the Old Trafford outfits recently signed up Brazil international midfielder from Shakhtar Donetsk last week, Mourinho remains keen on luring the Serb to his team despite facing intense competition from the Galacticos.
It was understood Milinko-Savic is ready to end his contract with Lazio in the summer due to the club’s inability to qualify for next season’s Champions League after losing 3-2 to Inter Milan in the last match of the campaign.
Having failed in all their approaches to convince the 23-year-old to commit his future with them, Lazio board of directors have slapped an outrageous £87.5m price tag on his services.
However, the player — who is presently in camp with his Serbian teammates ahead of the summer World Cup — told Bianconero, that his main target is to help his country to advance past the group stages of the competition.
According to him, his club’s future could wait till the end of the Mundial in Russia.
”I will decide where to continue my career after the World Cup. There’s a very good atmosphere among the squad and it feels like I’ve been here for years. I can’t wait to start the tournament.” he revealed to reporters.
