Another Great News For Mourinho As €40m-rated Star Wants United’s Move

Published

Philip Max

Manchester United manager José Mourinho might be the next Premier League manager to confirm another signing before the start of the upcoming World Cup in Russia as Augsburg defender Philip Max revealed his desire to play for the Premier League giants next season.

The Red Devils were without a natural left-back throughout last season, though, Ashley Young’s versatility makes it possible for the Englishman to play at the position despite being a natural.

According to a source close to the Augsburg defender, the Bundesliga side are demanding for €40m from United if they must complete their desperate move for his services.

According to the source, Max is ready to move out of Bundesliga this summer, hoping to achieve his dreams of playing for the 20-time Premier League Champions.

Max was awesome for his club throughout last term. He was able to find the back of the net on two occasions, while he made an impressive 13 assists despite playing in deep half of the pitch.

Many would have thought that his Mouthwatering performances for Augsburg are enough to earn him a place in Joachim Low’s World Cup squad but the 24-year-old was surprisingly left out of Germany’s star-studded team to the tournament in Russia.

With this report, Mourinho might need to cool his interest in Tottenham’s out of favor defender Toby Alderweireld, who is reportedly valued at £70m by the North London club.

Chelsea are reported to have made a decision on the future of defender Gary Cahill as he has spent six seasons with the club.

According to reports, the player will be allowed to leave the club on loan in the winter transfer window opening in January so as to have him enjoy regular football elsewhere.

The former England international’s contract with the Chelsea will come to an end by next summer and there is no assurance he will be handed a new deal with manager Maurizio Sarri hinting that Cahill is no longer in his plans.

The 32-year-old has enjoyed his stay with West London club and has been helpful within the last six years having won two Premier League titles, FA Cup, a Champions League and a Europa League to mark a successful career at the club.

Manager Sarri has also expressed his delight and respect for the former international because of his influence at the club and in the dressing room but noted that he can no longer have the same playing time at the club due to the presence of Cesar Azpilicueta who is much younger and more effective.

Meanwhile, Cahill’s next destination will soon be made public but he is believed to remain in England and not play abroad as he nears retirement.

joel matip

There are indications Liverpool defender Joel Matip could be on his way to Fulham with manager Claudio Ranieri desperate to have him at the club as he has emerged as the new manager of the club.

Matip is obviously not an option in the Reds team as he has gone down the pecking order at Anfield especially with the coming of Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez who have both built formidable forces at the defence.

Although, the German-born Cameroon international is still under contract with the Reds for another two years but he will not be willing to see out his contract as he is reported to be tired of sitting on the bench without seeing games.

Fernabache are reported in having the player with Liverpool’s former director of football Damien Comolli who is now with the Turkish side believed to be taking advantage of his influence at his former side to complete the deal.

Having sacked manager Slavisa Jokanovic and bring in Ranieri, the West London club have shown big ambition in adding depth to their squad with the Liverpool player as their top target.

Matip is believed to favour a move to Fulham because he has already adapted to life in England and will not fancy a move elsewhere.

Karim Benzema

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema is obviously happy at the Bernabeu but that will only continue if the Spanish side fails to sign Belgium star Eden Hazard.

According to reports, Benzema will cease to be a happy man if Hazard finds his way to the club because his first team shirt will be threatened.

Hazard has been on the radar of the Spanish giants for a long time and they are keen to have him despite the insistent by the Blues that he will not be sold.

Real Madrid had slammed the Stamford Bridge side for keeping the player against his wish after the player stated that he had a long term wish to play at Real Madrid.

The wish by the Spanish side to have Hazard has intensified with their poor performance which has been upturned by new manager Santiago Solari who has now won his last four games in charge after the sack of Julen Lopetegui.

Christian Pulisic

Liverpool have received a boost in the pursuit of Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic with the statement that playing in the Premier League will be a dream come true for him.

The interest by Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp on Pulisic is still maintained and there is no doubt that a move will be made for him in the coming January transfer window.

It would be recalled that a £11 million bid for the United States international was rejected about two years ago which means they will have to table an improved offer to be able to have him this time around.

The 20-year-old is also interesting Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester United but the Reds are believed to be taking the lead with move already made to convince the club and player this time around.

Suggestions are that the German manager is still impressed by the two goals scored by Pulisic in the preseason having stated that he likes the player and will like to have him at Anfield.

However, the player has now handed a boost to his suitors by stating that he had wanted to play in the Premier League as a young boy and he will be glad it is realized now that he is 20.

Liverpool boss has dismissed claims that he is under pressure to deliver at the Anfield

The former Borussia Dortmund boss joined the Reds about three years ago but has failed to win any silverware at the club.

Although, the German manager has been praised for giving the club a new look on the pitch as well as returning them back to their status of being respected by other big guns.

Klopp has been described as one of the best managers the club has ever produced in their history having brought back the glory of the club by reaching the Champions League finals last season as well as finishing second in the Premier League.

The German manager has however been reminded by the management of the need for him to win a title this season but that does not place him under undue pressure.

Klopp stated that he will only continue to work to get his team play better by the game and will not hold anything back.

He added that his wish is to win not minding what the people say about him nor think about him.

However, this is coming with concerns that the Reds are already diminishing in their form and might lose out of competition with other EPL title rivals.

Alexis Sanchez

French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG) have reportedly turned down the chance to sign unsettled Manchester United star Alexis Sanchez when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.

According to the report from Miguel Delaney of the Independent via bleacherreport, PSG are not interested in signing the 29-year-old and that the French capital club is contented with the fearsome attacking trio of Edinson Cavani, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

PSG don’t have any problem with his £500,000 per week salary but the player is already entering the latter stages of his career at 29 in addition to the fact that he’s struggling with his form at Manchester United.

The Chilean international had earlier ordered his agent to get him a move to PSG in the January transfer window but it looks like the move won’t happen.

Alexis Sanchez might have to continue to endure his frustrating spell at Manchester United.

He became a Red Devil in January after putting pen to paper on a four-and-a-half year deal until the end of the 2021/22 season.

Sanchez joined Manchester United from Arsenal in a swap deal involving Armenian international playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

He has scored just four goals for the club in all competitions.

Chelsea set to lose highly rated striker

Olivier Giroud

French striker Olivier Giroud is one of the players praised and respected by manager Maurizio Sarri in the Chelsea team because of the supposed impact he has had in the team.

The former Arsenal man cannot boast of goals in the Blue jersey but that is not an issue for the Italian manager who said Giroud always help to mount pressure on the opponent’s defence as well as deliver assists for goals.

The same was seen of the player in the Russia 2018 World Cup where he played all games from the group stage to the finals wearing the 9 jersey but failed to score a single goal and yet was not an issue for the manager.

This substance is about to be missed as latest reports link the player out of the Stamford Bridge to French side Marseille on a loan deal as it is reported that the West London side will go for strikers in the January window.

Giroud who has scored just once this campaign is facing competition from Alvaro Morata who joined the club from Real Madrid and has scored a total of six goals this season.

Meanwhile, suggestions are that the Blues will not stand in the way of the World Cup winner should he insist on leaving the club.
