Chelsea join race for West Brom forward.
The Blues have reportedly joined the race to land Salomon Rondon from West Brom.
The Venezuelan International was a shining light amidst the Midlands club torrid run of form which subsequently cost the club its status in the league the previous campaign.
Reports claim the Midland club are gearing up to lose Salomon Rondon as Tottenham and West Ham United are vying for his signature.
However, recent reports have emerged that Chelsea are also interested in acquiring the frontman, with the trio of London clubs willing to cough out the 16m relegation clause in his contract.
West Ham’s new manager Manuel Pelligrini appears keen on revamping a forward line that has been plagued with perpetual injuries to striker, Andy Carroll and has added Fulham’s Ryan Fredericks to his ranks in recent weeks.
Chelsea’s unresolved managerial situation has created a lot of furore surrounding the future of Alvaro Morata and Eden Hazard, while Tottenham are said to be looking for a backup forward option due to the over-reliance on Kane for goals and the disappointing performances of Fernando Llorente since his arrival from Swansea.
Though it is unlikely Rondon would be keen on being fielded as a second option for the North London Club and could preferably opt for a move to the Blues.
