Chelsea and Liverpool suffer transfer blow ro sign world class star
Roma goalkeeper Alisson has reportedly opted to join Real Madrid should he depart from Italy this summer.
The Brazilian is regarded as a reliable shot stopper and his commanding form the previous campaign for Roma, has increasingly led to the star been the subject of intense transfer speculations amid reports Chelsea have set their sights on landing the goalkeeper, should their No 1 goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois depart Stamford bridge.
But reports from Spanish publication, Marca claim the 25- year- old would preferably want a move to the European champions amid reports the Spanish capital club are looking to replace goalkeeper Keylor Navas.
The Colombian heroics hasn’t deterred the critics who have often deemed Navas as not good enough for a club the size of Real Madrid and reports claim the club chairman Florentino Perez is seeking to invest in a top-class goalkeeper. The move would come as a blow to Chelsea who were also facing stiff competition from Liverpool for Alisson.
Both clubs have been forced to turn elsewhere in the quest for a world-class goalie, with the Merseysiders already linked with moves for Barcelona shot-stopper Jasper Cillessen and Italian teenage sensation Gianluigi Donnarumma
