Arsenal boss Unai Emery continues his search for players who would bring more power, skills and tricks to his frontline ahead of the 2018-19 season.
In his search, the former PSG boss has been linked with former Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli, who is known for his indiscipline actions.
The Italian was one of the best strikers in the Premier League during his three-year stay at the Etihad stadium where he helped the team won their first major trophy after 43 years.
Arsenal’s attacking line wasn’t effective during last season and Unai Emery must get more players to improve the team at the final third of the pitch if he must succeed in his debut season in the Premier League.
Balotelli also had one – season spell at Anfield but that was largely unsuccessful as he could only manage one strike for Brendan Rodgers’ team in 2014.
Though the Italian star is a proven goalscorer when fully fit, his off-field crisis seems to always get the best out of him.
After some uninspiring spell across Europe, Balotelli finally regained his great form in the just concluded season with Ligue 1 side OGC Nice. The 27-year-old striker was the club’s top scorer.
Apart from his goalscoring ratio, his overall display was impressive throughout the season and he could be moving out of French League in the summer.
Signing Balotelli as a free agent is surely a plus for Arsenal but the question is — can Unai Emery cope with the player’s lifestyle?
