‘Agreement Reached’ – Arsenal To Spend £75m Ahead Of 36-year-old Manager Confirmation

Having reached an agreement with Mikel Arteta over the possibility of switching to the Emirates Stadium as Arsenal’s next manager, the Gunners board of directors are expected to officially announce the Spaniard’s signature soon.

Arteta has emerged the perfect option to take over from the Frenchman ahead of highly experienced managers which include Allegri, Ancelotti and Faria — Mourinho’s assistant.

According to The Sun, Mikel Arteta might see his unveiling delayed for some weeks due to the club’s current pursuit of three-star players.

The British publication reports that the Gunners sporting director Sven Mislintant wants to complete a £75m sweep for three players before the club will make an official announcement on Arteta’s unveiling ceremony.

In the same report, Mislintant is ready to release £15m to Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund, so as to convince them to let go of their defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos, who will see-off his contract next season.

The Greek international has been awesome at the back for Dortmund but he could be sold to Arsenal in coming weeks.

The former Borussia Dortmund sporting director is also interested in £35m-rated Freiburg defender Caglar Soyuncu in the summer. He is hoping to snap him up before the start of the summer World Cup.

As a mission to replace Petr Cech, Arsenal are eyeing a £25m move for Bayer Leverkusen goalie Bernd Leno in the summer.
