Liverpool are once again on the verge of snatching another lively and exciting youngster from Chelsea in the summer according to ESPN.
The publication are reporting that the Reds are ready to sign Chelsea youngster Christie-Davies as a free agent before the end of this month.
The 20-year-old will be out of contract in few weeks but the West London Club are not ready to renew his contract despite his brilliant form throughout the just-concluded season.
Christie-Davies has been a phenomenal player for the Blues youth team this season, helping the team to FA Youth Cup trophy despite intense competition from the young Gunners team.
Liverpool have earlier given the youngster the chance to showcase his skill in a test game, where he performed brilliantly to convince the Reds academy manager that he deserves to be offered a contract in the summer.
Should he successfully make a move to the Anfield Stadium, Christie-Davies will become the second youngster to depart Stamford Bridge for Anfield in less than two seasons after the Merseyside club captured Dominic Solanke last summer.
ESPN further confirm that the 20-year-old midfielder won’t join the main squad as soon as he signed a contract with the club but would rather play with the Reds academy squad.
Considering his talent and exploits for the young Chelsea side, will surely be a regular starter in the team next season.
