Manchester United flop Victor Lindelof has reportedly emerged as Wolverhampton’s top summer transfer target.
The newly promoted Premier League club will be hoping to remain in the country’s top flight League by the close of next season. To achieve it, they need to improve their squad by making perfect use of the coming transfer period.
According to The Mirror, Wolverhampton are set to lure the former Benfica defender to their team ahead of next season.
The newspaper also suggest that Victor Lindelof is currently in talks with his agent Jorge Mendes, who is set to discuss with Wolverhampton’s representatives over a possible move for his client.
The 23-year-old joined the Old Trafford outfits from Portuguese League giants Benfica in a deal which is believed to be £31m during last summer.
Despite his huge-money switch, the Swedish international hasn’t been given much time on the pitch this season due to his uninspiring displays in some matches he’s played for the Red Devils.
He has featured in just 28 matches — mostly as a substitute — in all competitions under Mourinho this season. He will be hoping to get regular first-team action for Santo’s team, should he move in the summer.
