The Gunners are being linked with a move for Lyon’s Nabil Fekir as they wait on who will be in charge at the helm next season.
The France International arrived at the Groupama Stadium from Saint Preist in the summer of 2013 and has developed into one of the finest attackers in Ligue 1 . The 24-year-old has been heavily influential in Lyon’s progress this term, scoring 22 goals and laying down a further 7 assists in 37 appearances in all competitions.
Such impressive form has inevitably attracted glances from top European clubs and as claimed by an Italian newspaper, CalcioMercato, Arsenal are looking into a deal to lure the Frenchman to the Emirates. However, the Gunners are set to face an obstacle in securing Fekir’s signature with the report stating AC Milan are also keen on signing the midfielder, with the Italian club’s Chinese owners bent on putting an abrupt end to the Old lady’s dominance of Serie A..
Though, it is fair to say Lyon would be not keen on departing with their star player as the diminutive midfielder still has two years left to run in his contract. Although an irresistible bid from the Gunners might convince them to let go of their talisman.
