Liverpool manager has reiterated his desire to stop Mohammed Salah from joining Real Madrid in the summer. Mo Salah, has he is fondly called is in the best form of his career and his performance for the Reds hasn’t gone unnoticed by top European clubs.
The Egyptian striker has found the back of the net in 39 times in all competitions so far this season and he is on course to add more to the tally before the close of the season.
Due to his red-hot form, Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has been tracking the player’s development since last December, hoping to snatch him from Klopp’s watch during the last transfer window but the Frenchman failed in his bid to capture him.
After failing to get the striker in January, Zidane is reportedly set to reignite his passion to work with Salah in the upcoming season and has advised the boards to make an official approach to Salah’s agent, Ramy Abbas, for discussion over a possible move to Santiago Bernabeu next season.
While reacting to Salah’s exit rumours in an interview with German newspaper Sport Bild, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has played down the rumours, claiming that Salah his happy at Anfield and he wants to remain with the Merseyside club for more sessions.
Klopp further assured Liverpool fans that Salah won’t leave the club because he has adapted to the club’s playing style and philosophy.
Salah made a goalscoring return to action as he scored against Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-final return leg last Tuesday Champions League semi-final after many years of absence.
