Arsenal and England international holding midfielder Jack Wilshere might be heading towards Arsenal’s exit door by the close of the season according to reports via Daily Mirror.

The 28-year-old will be out of contract by the end of the season and the Gunners have already offered him a new contract extension but he refused due to some financial issues related to the deal.

It is believed that the Gunners board are willing to reduce Wilshere’s wages by £20,000 in the next season should the Englishman accept the deal.

As a result of his refusal to accept the deal, the player is willing to move out of Emirates stadium as a free agent and Everton have been tipped to be his next destination.

According to football.London, the Merseyside club are confident of signing the player this summer as a free agent.

The reports also suggest that Sam Allardyce hopes that Everton would offer him an eye-catching deal which he won’t be able to reject.

It was reported via Daily Mirror during the last winter market that Southampton are also interested in re-signing their former player who joined the Gunners in 2008.

Southampton haven’t done too well in the middle of the park this season and they hope to improve the department by adding the rejuvenated star to the team this summer.

Wilshere will be hoping he starts the Europa League clash against CSKA Moscow in Russia.

The Gunners head into the clash as the favourite team to progress to the next round of the competition having won the reverse fixture 4-1 at the Emirates stadium.
