According to Spanish news outlet Don Balon, Manchester United are in the chase to sign Real Madrid midfield maestro Toni Kroos and they could agree to a deal for the powerful midfielder in the summer.
As reported by The Sun, Manchester United are ready to let go of four senior midfielders at the end of the season. Jose Mourinho stated the midfield is a position he will be strengthening in the summer transfer window.
Manchester United long-serving midfielder Michael Carrick will be retiring, Marouane Fellaini will be out of contract in few months’ time, Ander Herrera is being linked with a move to AC Milan and in a recent situation, Paul Pogba has appeared unhappy and could make a switch to Real Madrid.
The Red Devils have been a long-term admirer of the prolific midfielder and Don Balon has made it known that he’s seriously considering a switch to Old Trafford. However, La Liga giant Real Madrid could block the move giving the fact that Luka Modric career is coming to an end.
Should Real Madrid sell Toni Kroos to Manchester United, they would leave themselves very short of creative midfielders, so far, Manchester United would struggle to sign the player unless a player is lined up to replace him.
