According to reports, Chelsea are prepared to increase their bid as they look to complete deals for Roma duo Edin Dzeko and defender Emerson Palmieri this week.

Running out of time

With the winter transfer deadline moving closer, Chelsea are running out of transfer time to sign further reinforcements for the manager this winter.

As per The Express, they plan to table another bid for their top targets with AS Roma sporting director casting major doubt over the reported £50million transfer for the two players as it wasn’t enough to convince the Italian side to sell two key players.

Personal terms agreed

Further, it’s also reported how personal terms have not been agreed upon with the Bosnian striker, and so there is still a lot to work to be done between now and Wednesday deadline.

We’ll wait and see whether or not a fee will be agreed, but this would certainly be the only winter swoop that would make good transfer sense for the Blues.

The Bosnian international striker is fresh from winning the Capocannoniere in the Italian Serie A after netting 29 goals, including 39 in 51 matches across all competitions last term while he also boasts former English Premier League experience with leaders Manchester City.
