Chelsea have reached an agreement with Italian side Roma in their bid to sign Edin Dzeko and Emerson Palmieri in a rare double deal.
According to reports, the two clubs have agreed to terms as regards the deal with the Premier League champions set to pay €50 million for the two players and a possible €10 million in add-ons.
The blues are believed to have agreed on personal terms with the left-back Emerson but not with the 31-year old former Wolfsburg striker Dzeko which is reportedly the next issue to be thrashed as far as going forward with the deal is concerned.
It comes as a surprise that the Italian side are willing to let go of both players considering their good placing on the Serie A table as well as their impressive champions league berth.
The club’s director Monchi had however hinted that the club is ready to replace any player in their squad in what was a very bold claim.
The arrival of both Dzeko and Emerson could see a little squad reshuffle at Stamford Bridge. As Michy Batshuayi will finally be allowed to go on loan to Sevilla and Borussia reportedly very keen on the Belgian.
Kenedy is another player expected to leave on loan with Emerson taking his place as back up to the impressive Marcos Alonso.
The club’s fans will be hoping Dzeko can improve their side’s goal numbers for the remainder of the season even though he is himself expressing a slump that has seen him score only 9 times in league football as against 29 last season.
