German side Borussia Dortmund are interested in signing Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi as a potential replacement for the outgoing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Gabon international is reportedly close to a move to Chelsea’s London rivals Arsenal in a deal that is believed to be worth £70 million.
The 28-year old is said to have agreed to personal terms with the Gunners – who are now in negotiations with the German club in a bid to sign the prolific center-forward.
Arsenal are going through a squad overhaul at the moment with Francis Coquelin already sold to Valencia and Theo Walcott on his way to Everton.
Alexis Sanchez is another set to leave the Emirates this month, hence their bid to bring in reinforcements especially in attack with Aubameyang and Bordeaux winger Malcolm their top targets.
Although Borussia Dortmund are holding strong as regards selling their star striker, latest reports say the former Bundesliga champions are looking to sign Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi as a replacement.
Batshuayi has struggled for game time this season at Stamford Bridge and is reportedly not trusted by manager Antonio Conte. He is expected to leave the club on loan for the rest of the season, with Sevilla the likeliest destination, however, interest from Germany can change all that.
Chelsea are keen on letting the player leave this month but are said to want a replacement first before sanctioning any deal for the Belgian.
