With news of Premier League leaders Manchester City dropping out the race to sign Arsenal soon-to-be-free agent, Alexis Sanchez, another report has come to light.
According to the report, Premier League Champions Chelsea have now shown an interest in the 29-year old Arsenal attacker and are set to rival Manchester United for his services.
The news of Man City dropping out was suppose to give free reign to rivals Man United but with The Blues now showing an interest, it could really get interesting in a few hours or days.
For Man United there are reports from Italy that terms have been agreed with the player and a deal which would involve Man united’s Armenian playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan swapping Old Trafford for the Emirates is in the works but the Armenian international is yet to agree on terms with the North London club.
Although Man United are still favourites and Chelsea has not put in an official bid yet, they are expecting to do so in a few hours and will be looking to gazump their Premier League rivals and sign the Chilean international – who on paper could be a very good addition for Antonio Conte’s side who are so far struggling for goals this year.
Chelsea are in the market for new attacking reinforcements with the likes of Andy Carroll, Richarlison and Thorgan Hazard all being targeted.
Alexis Sanchez meanwhile at present is the hottest property in the Premier League’s transfer window and no one can fault the Stamford Bridge club from stating an interest for the talented player.
