Medical done, Chelsea star all set for January transfer

Less known Chelsea forward Nathan is set for a loan move to Portuguese Primeira Liga side Belenenses

The 21-year-old Brazilian star was reportedly set to be unveiled by the Portuguese outfit but a delay in documentation from the London club has seen the move put on hold for the time being.

The forward has had his medical in Lisbon as the move is believed to only be a few details away.

The former Brazil under-20 international sign for the Stamford Bridge club in 2015 from Atlético Paranaense for a fee rumoured to be around £4.5 million and was sent out on loan 9 days later to Dutch club Vitesse ( a loan deal that spanned 2 seasons).

On his return at the start of this season, he was again sent on loan to French side Amiens for a season-long spell but returned earlier than expected and is now set for another loan spell this time in Portugal.

His Chelsea career has not gone according to plan as he has not been given any opportunities by the club.

He will, however, be keen on proving himself in this new challenge especially in a country similar in culture to his homeland, as he looks to get his career back on track.
