Manchester United fullback Matteo Darmian has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford for quite some time now.
AS Roma have emerged as favourites to land the Italian international who has struggled for the game time ever since Jose Mourinho took charge at the club.
A January exit is being mooted for the 28-year old and according to reports, he has made his demands known to the Italian capital club.
He is believed to want a €3 million annual net salary in order to join Roma – who are said to be keen on a new fullback this month.
The Serie A club are said to view the Man United defender as a perfect candidate but are also monitoring other targets including Atletico Madrid’s Juanfran.
Darmian is also a target for Italian champions Juventus, as he is still highly rated in his homeland despite his struggles at Man United.
His agent had earlier suggested that his client is a target for a number Italian side despite also saying the player is currently not for sale.
Despite this, it is believed the player himself is interested in a move this month as he looks to get his career by on the track. But the fact that The Azzurri didn’t make it to the world cup could see him hold on until the summer for a move – as he is not under pressure like many players are to make it into World cup squads.
