Allegri to take over from Conte?

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is expected to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season – as he is believed to be unimpressed with dealings at the club and is not willing to extend his stay at the club.

According to reports from Italy Juventus Boss Massimiliano Allegri is topping the shortlist of managers made by the West London club with former boss Carlo Ancelotti also being considered for the job.

Allegri took over at Juventus after Antonio Conte left the club in 2014 to take over as Italian National team manager. He has enjoyed a lot of success with The Old Lady of Italian football winning the Scudetto in his first 3 seasons in charge and they are currently in second place behind Napoli as he chases a fourth straight Serie A title. He also led his team to two champions league final in 2015 and 2017 losing to Barcelona and Real Madrid in both instances.

It was however suggested in the report that The Turin club are not willing to let go of their manager who has a contract with the club that expires in the summer of 2020.

However in recent times, a club can do little to stop a manager who is looking to move on and if Chelsea are able to convince the Italian manager to take the job at Stamford Bridge, there’s very little the Italian champions can do to stop it.
