Conte expresses delight in 2 summer signings
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is pleased with the contributions of 2 of his summer signings Tiemoue Bakayoko and Danny Drinkwater.
Both men arrived at Stamford Bridge in the summer from Monaco and Leicester City respectively but did not hit the ground running immediately. However, both have been giving improved displays lately which haven’t gone unnoticed by their manager.
The Italian boss has expressed his pleasure in the impact made by both Bakayoko and Drinkwater since joining the club.
The midfield pair joined the club following the departure of Nemanja Matic – who joined Manchester United in the summer and have offered dynamism to the side’s midfield allowing the manager to engage in a few tactical tweaks.
The Italian manager is obviously pleased with the options the midfield pair gives the team and their results of late goes a long way to vindicate his delight in them.
The Blues are unbeaten in their last 5 Premier League matches winning 4 and drawing the other, conceding only 1 goal in those matches – a 92nd minute Laurent Depoitre goal away to Huddersfield Town on the 12th of December.
They have both brought solidity in the central midfield area at Chelsea, together N’Golo Kante and Cesc Fabregas.
