Real Madrid are being linked with Chelsea star Eden Hazard as their manager Zinedine Zidane is a big fan of the talented Belgian.
There have been reports that Chelsea have failed with talks aimed at getting the Belgium international to sign a new contract with the club as the attacker is hoping to force a move to Madrid in the summer.
Hazard’s father earlier in the week confirmed that his son is interested in a move to Real Madrid which further dampened the Stamford Bridge club’s hopes of keeping their star man.
However, in an interesting twist, there have been new reports suggesting that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is not ready to ‘sanction’ a move for Hazard.
The reports say the club president is still sceptical of his talents and views Neymar, Harry Kane and Antionne Griezmann as better options for the club.
The recently re-crowned world champions are planning a summer overhaul with the team vastly under-performing so far this season and are looking to bring in some quality signings in the summer.
Chelsea are still in the process of convincing the 26-year old to sign a new contract with the club but are expected to demand over ₤170 million for his services if that fails.
The Madrid club are also said to be interested in Hazard’s Chelsea teammates Thibaut Courtois and Cesar Azpilicueta.
