Chelsea according to latest reports might be looking to end their interest in Juventus defender Alex Sandro as they begin inquests towards signing Porto left-back Alex Telles.
The Premier League champions have been chasing the Juve star since the summer but have so far been unable to get their man.
Their chances of a deal appeared to be boosted when reports of the players unhappiness in Turin broke earlier in the month but the Italian champions have held strong and have now put a hefty ₤53 million price tag on the Brazilian.
The price appears to have put off the Stamford Bridge club and according to the reports in Portugal, The Blues are now showing an interest in signing Porto’s Alex Telles.
Telles also a Brazilian has also been linked with Juventus. The 25-year old has played for Galatasaray, Inter Milan and Gremio but is now an integral part of the FC Porto setup.
The Brazilian is regarded as an offensive fullback and is often described as skillful and quick.
Chelsea has a significant advantage over other interested clubs as the player’s agent – Fernando Otto – last summer, spoke of the player’s desire to play for The Blues.
Scottish giants Celtic are also credited with an interest in the left-back.
