Chelsea are reported as being interested in a summer move for Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale and are ready to battle Manchester United for the Welsh man.
Real are said to be looking to make back a big portion of the ₤87.5 million transfer fee they paid for him in 2013 as the winger is likely to make a summer move away from the club after enduring an injury-rocked spell with the Capital club.
Manchester United have been long-term suitors for the Wales international and were only beaten by Real Madrid to his signature after he chose them over United in 2013 but the club have been linked with a move year after year and have seen huge bids turned down by Real Madrid.
The Red Devils are now set to be rivalled by their league rivals Chelsea, as The Blues have now entered the race for the star man and are set to match Man United every step of the way.
Bale is reported to be open to a move back to the Premier league bringing an end to his trophy-rich spell in Madrid. Real are believed to be expecting to make about ₤80 million from the sale of the 28-year old.
Real Madrid are known to fancy a move for Chelsea’s Eden Hazard who is yet to sign a new contract at Stamford Bridge, this provides a very interesting subplot in this transfer saga.
