Latest transfer reports from Italy say Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian is on his way out of the club as he seeks a return to the Serie A. The reports of his move away are becoming rampant in the Italian media but his destination at this time has not been confirmed.
It is believed the Italian international’s return to his home country is only a matter of time as AS Roma, Napoli and Juventus have all been credited with interests in the Man United man.
The 28-year old is no more than a squad player at the moment for the club, as Man United boss Jose Mourinho does not see the Italian as one of his more important players.
The Italian press now reports that Darmian has ‘no feeling with Mourinho’ and will be leaving the Old Trafford sooner or later.
However a January move away seems very unlikely unless Man United are able to sign a new player in the fullback areas, as Mourinho will want to keep his squad big for the second half of the season.
Despite saying this, Darmian’s current contract with United runs out in the summer of 2019 and in terms of a transfer fee, the closer he gets to the end of his contract the less Man United will most likely receive.
